Mentoring, tutoring, SAT prep, and enrichment programs that help young people build academic skills and develop as leaders.
Youth Development is at the heart of what Zoeist does. Our youth mentors work directly with students in math, science, and English, and provide SAT prep services to help young people prepare for college and career. The program pairs each participant with a mentor who guides them both academically and personally, building the kind of relationship that makes a lasting difference.
Beyond academics, youth participants engage in community outreach, providing resources and support related to youth development in their neighborhoods. This creates a culture of young people helping young people — students who have been mentored go on to mentor others, multiplying the impact across the community.
Zoeist is expanding this work by setting up mentoring and tutoring programs in underserved areas across the Atlanta metro region. We are also launching an online education program for youth enrichment that supplements participants' secondary schooling, giving them access to additional learning opportunities regardless of where they live. This program grew out of a youth academy where student mentors tutored their peers, and that founding vision — young people lifting each other up — continues to drive everything we do.
